Why we built it
ShirtScout started with a simple frustration. We love vintage football shirts, but finding the right one meant searching marketplaces in the UK, then Germany, then Italy, France, Spain and the US, each with its own language, currency and search quirks. The shirt you were after was often listed somewhere you had not looked.
So we built the site we wanted ourselves: one search across all those marketplaces, sorted by club, country and era, with the remakes, kids’ shirts and other noise filtered out. ShirtScout is made in the Netherlands by football shirt fans.
How it works
Step 1: We search the marketplaces
Every two hours we collect vintage football shirt listings from marketplaces in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, the US and more.
Step 2: We sort and clean them up
Each listing is matched to its club or national team, season and era, and listings that are not real vintage shirts are left out.
Step 3: You find your shirt
Browse by club, league, era, size and price, follow your club for an email when new shirts appear, then buy from the seller on the marketplace.
What we leave out
Marketplaces are full of listings that look vintage but are not. Before a listing reaches ShirtScout, we remove:
- Shirts from the current and last two seasons: those are not vintage yet
- Remakes, reissues and retro reprints
- Kids’ sizes, T-shirts, scarves and other items that are not football shirts
- Other sports, such as rugby and basketball jerseys
- Sellers with little or no feedback
- The same shirt listed again for every size
No filter is perfect, so always check the photos and the seller before you buy. Our guides help you spot a fake and pick the right size.
Independent and free
ShirtScout is free to use and does not sell shirts. When you click through to a listing and buy it, the marketplace may pay us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. That is how we pay for the site. Sellers cannot pay to be listed or ranked higher.
We are not affiliated with any club, league, kit maker or marketplace. Club names are used only to describe the shirts. Read more in our affiliate disclosure.
